Yeah, but that will change once you make PO3.
So how is the Shitty Kitty? Still all rusty? That boat was old when I saw her in the early 80's!!!!
Well, if you do, you will have a little advantage over the other JOs, you will know what it was like to be an enlisted. And if you do, find a good Chief to teah you the ropes, there are some really good ones out there. Just liek a few Zero's are good too.

Yeah i've been in for almost 5 years and i've learned a wee bit. Plus i got some pretty good khakis pushing me around, i would like to possibly make chief one day but i'm thinking about retirement............still not set in stone.........I'm figuring whether i am going to stay in or go after something different. None the less i have 3 more years to go, or maybe 15.

You have a lot of time to figure out the route you want.
Some tips to get promoted are - Contiue with education, more college course.
Community activity, get in on those and lead some of them
be a leader, when given the chance, lead a group or project.
If youd do decide to get out, seriously think about the reserves. The Money is decent for a weekend and that can be a car payment. or a savings, or whatever, and it will ultimately become a retirement.
Have fun, first and foremost, have fun and see as much as you can.

The Kitty is falling apart as we speak, cant wait to decom it next summer. Im definetly not looking forward to the final two deployments between now and then.
Actually you have to be a 2nd class to get rid of the cinderella liberty, if you havent been here for 6 months yet . Its all good though after you are here around 6 months you can earn a "blue card" which means overnight liberty no matter your rank.
