I'm curious what TSO is doing this year. Paul O'Neil, the man behind it all, passed away in the interim. Long story short, the show must go on, but I think they're going back to one of their tried and true stories/concerts again.
Swapped the Street Demon carb onto my car tonight. For (assumed) stock jetting, it runs well. Had to adjust the spring tension on the secondary "goggle" valve tighter to open later to help alleviate the stumble I have experienced with primary/secondary transition since the Edelbrock carburetor was installed. Still a touch lean on the secondaries (gonna have to get a jet kit), but it's definitely an improvement over the Edelbrock. The only thing I don't care for is the fact that jet changes require removal of the carb since the screws are up through the bottom of the main body, as where the Edelbrock was all accessible without taking the carb off the engine. Moot points for drivability though.

ok...this is a new one for me. Garage started stinking to holy hell. Me and Zach got out there and chased the smell down.....which was extremely fun to begin with. We found it. A mouse is dead in the defrost evap bucket.....I mean really fucking dead. Here's where it gets all kinds of fun. That bucket is not removable. I'm now figuring out how I'm going to tell zach that mouse needs to come out and that he's the only technician doing the job. This shit should get 17 kinds of good before we're done. This is one of those times where having a kid pays off. Granted......it doesn't come around very often but when it does I like to savor the moment. Once he gets it out we'll bleach the holy hell out of it and maybe pour a little pine sol in there or something. If I didn't have Zach around I'd probably just push the fucking thing out to the road and go buy another fridge.

Or just man up and deal with it. That's always an easy solution.

Greetings from the Beaver house. Probably heading down to the Dodge show this morning. Hodder may actually bail on us and head back north. They melted there yesterday with high temps and high humidity.
I swapped out the bearing assembly in our dryer down here yesterday. It was starting to sound like nails on a chalkboard, times 5, last time we were down. Hoping to get the kayaks out tonight or maybe in the morning tomorrow.
Zach - first I had heard about TSO. He was the lead guitarist, right?

Heading to VA beach from PA tomorrow. Got alot of good PA type shit done today. Cut some limbs up that fell, moved a 15 year old camper to sell, and drank some beer. Just your normal PA day minus the sign shooting.

Went down to the Chrysler show at Carlisle yesterday. The place was absolutely packed. Met up with Dave (Jeff's brother) and his wife to wander the fairgrounds and check out the Hurst show over at the expo center. Not a huge amount of cars at the Hurst show but a fairly good turnout for the inaugural event. As usual, I was totally tempted by a couple of Hurst/Olds with the lightening rods setup.
We tried to find Sherry's Crabcakes for a bite to eat, but it appears they were not on site. Ended up munching a pretzel and ran into some friends from Tioga County also standing in line for a pretzel. After a few more rows we went antiquing in downtown Carlisle for a while and then went to Redd's for some BBQ before heading north via the scenic route to get back to the Beaver house. It was a great day.

In the years of doing my job, and the countless LS7's I've seen... I have never once seen one with a valve issue. I know it's all over the interwebs, but I have never valve failure. Thus... I'm not concerned at all about it.
I do sound weird to all you non midwesterners. Minus the eh. We still reserve our right to make fun of the Canadians and Upper Michiganders for using the long "o" and the "eh's." And damn it... it's pop!!

Pretty uneventful trip down today which is always good. Not really any traffic issues. Did start out rocky though. Got up at 430 this morning. Go outside to take a piss and missed the 2nd step coming out of the camper.....down I went. About a 4' fall onto the kids bikes outside. Arm is still sore from catching myself....or trying to. Haha wife caming running out to help but since she's found out I'm generally ok she's laughed at me all day about it.
