My quote included FMIC. And I do plan to pay the $200 extra for a polished plenum. What do you think about the "Procharger big Red Valve"? I heard it's worth getting, it's an extra $400. I also plan on gauges as well.

I have big red
As far as polished plenum...you won't have a plenum if you get a FMIC. The plenum is for the twin intercoolers. Take a look at my build thread. Google "My Procharger Build - Kinda".Boost gets you laid, unless your name is Jon.

Oh ok, I see......
Just briefly skimmed through your thread. Wow some great pics, and good info! Too bad I'm not closer, I would definitely bring it to your guy. Do you know if polished tubing is available for the procharger?

I'm the same distance from Fort Wayne as you, but I understand. All he does is supercharger and turbo builds. He would probably save you a ton on install, and has his own custom fabricators for piping, etc. He could likely do a custom system to your liking for cheaper than a standard install at a shop. Just throwing it out there. He's not "my guy", just someone that was highly recommended by the best LS1 tuner on the planet lol.

Through ATI - I'm not sure. I opted for the carbon steel piping that's painted. I would like to do polished Aluminum at some point though

Do you know where to get the polished aluminum?

You'd likely have to have it fabricated at a shop.

The "kit" isn't plug and play. You will require some fabrication "on the fly" work...which is why it's better to work with someone that fully understands the setup and application.

The shop that I'm going to, has done many procharger kits for LS1's so it shouldn't be a problem.
I've noticed some guys have their license plate insert removed to show the intercooler. What are your thoughts on that?

The more air to/across the FMIC, the better.

They're only about an hour away from me. They definitely know their stuff, and especially LS1 F-Body's

Oh nice......
Yeah I'm looking forward to the build. A few years ago I thought about selling my 01' WS6. But I'm glad I didnt. I love my car, and my only regret is not getting manual.
The only reason I chose automatic, was because my car prior, was a 96' LT-1 and I drove it year round, and got sick of manual.

About the Procharger Bypass Valve, I've read it's worth the buy. But I akao read a few negative reviews. What would you say?

I have had mine installed since May 2011. No issues to date. It is loud. I think there are two different options for it. Would have to research again as it's been awhile.
