2016 Camaro SS - Summit- 2001 Trans Am WS6 - NBM
"New England or Denver vs. Green Bay"
REALLY??? All 3 of those teams MADE THE PLAYOFFS, they all had their chance to be "truly great teams", they all FLOPPED!
This isn't the BCS. You don't get to decide who coulda woulda shoulda because of some shitty non-playoff system.

Wow...this is...I don't even know where to start.
I'm sorry, I like RG3, and I have no problem with the Redskins. Hell I was pulling for them through the end of the season and until they got knocked out. But Washington is not even close to the team that SF is. The 49ers were great last year with Alex Smith (remember, if not for a returner having a VERY bad day, they would have been in the Super Bowl last year too), they were great the first half of the season with Smith, and they are great now with Kaepernick. Kaep is just like RG3...he's playing lights out right now, and who knows if he will develop into a true great...but he's not carrying that team. The 49ers have the best defense in the NFL. That has ALOT to do with the how they made it to where they are. Some luck is certainly mixed in there too, but to say that it's luck that got them here? We can pretty much rule that out at this point.

Washington wasn't going to make the Super Bowl. The comparsion was with Baltimore. But also I wouldn't equate RG3 with Kaepernick - the dude has been inconsistent and played fewer games. Finally, San Francisco's defense is good, but it is not the imposing D of Steelers or Ravens squads a few years ago, not the kind of defense that could make a team with an unproven QB worthy of a Super Bowl appearance.

The Steelers got knocked out all together, IMO, because of injuries. But, I'm not still bitching about. Shit happens.
You seem to have something against Flacco. FYI...
Flacco is the only starting quarterback in NFL history to reach the postseason in each of his first five seasons. His 61 victories (including the postseason) are more than any NFL quarterback since the start of the 2008 season.
Flacco has won five road playoff games in his career, tied with Eli Manning for the most in NFL history. Joe Montana didn't do it. Neither did Brett Favre, Steve Young, Troy Aikman or Peyton Manning.
Maybe, just maybe, this is his chance at the superbowl ring
Just saying

I agree to disagree - except the part where you said WSH wasn't going to make the SB.
As of right now - I put Kaepernick ahead of MV2.
Since SF's defense isn't as dominant as say the '01 Ravens' D, that tells me Kaepernick is a big reason they're in the SB. Flacco has won 6 road playoff games now - more than anyone in history.

The niners secondary better not screw the pooch like they did last week or they're going to lose in an ugly way. The Ravens D is playing smash mouth ball...add in Lewis being insane for his last game and there's no way the niners make up a two or three score deficit.
I want to pick the Ravens but Flacco is just so wishy washy. When he shows up he's great but when he doesn't he single handily loses games.Last edited by SeVeReDiStOrTiOn; 01-22-2013 at 12:50 PM.

wow....Sean Payton reinstated on Wed. and Spagnuola fired on Thur. Didn't take him long. Guess when you have the worst D in the history of the league you can almost expect to be fired. They also announced a switch to the 3-4.

Ravens D has been doing more of the winning than Flaccid should be even remotely credited for...

Ravens did good getting there.
Now, they will face a much more sophisticated and faster offense.
Nothing like they faced in 2010.
Niners will play tight and tough for the 1st quarter or so then feed them lunch and dinner in the 2nd half.
Flacco will get intercepted and I believe he will leave the game with an arm injury from being bitch slapped throughout the 2nd half.
Cap will be MVP and Willis will be top defensive player.Be who you are and say what you feel 'cause people who mind don't matter, and people who matter don't mind.'

I wished the Redskins were in the Super Bowl, it would be a whole lot better game to watch.

Soon, Shanahan is going to realize that he actually doesn't need a team. He can just put MV2 on the field, and beat anyone. Opposing defenses will be so intimidated by MV2's obviously superior intellect and unmatched physical ability that they will tackle themselves out of fear.
I think this RG3 thing could develop into the new Chuck Norris.
