Sounds sweet. Do you have any pics of your VXR or any action shots?

BTW, I GPS'd mine last week. Got her up to 59.8 mph. I should be able to clear 60mph if I raise the sponsons up or shim the ride plate a little bit.

Oh thats right. I forgot all about that. I doubt thats gonna happen but if I can swing it, I let you know.
You guys need some action shots... here's my latest. Riding backwards (highly illegal and irresponsible, but entertaining for the people on the boat)

My next mod is gonna be having my cylinder head milled for higher compression. But that'll be over the winter time. If I can get a few more hot days this year, there are a couple things I can try to improve my top speed. I still need to shim the ride plate and I wanna try a high speed run with a nearly empty tank of gas. Maybe also try a speed run with the seat off to see if the motor breathes better.
I think I've put about 20 hours on the rebuilt motor this summer so far.

sounds like you have some good things planned. I'll be interested to hear the results. I have some action shots of my family's ride but am too lazy to download them from facebook and upload to photobucket. We only put like 15 hrs on her this year and put 105 hours on the wakeboard boat.

Nice. We mostly used my friends Tritoon boat for a place to booze, socialize, and hold our stuff in between Waverunner fun and swimming. We were definitely far less active this year. But we found a nice shallow spot to park, get out and toss a football or frisbee around. I have 2 other friends, both with Malibu ski boats, that wakeboard and I've only been out twice with one of them.

Definitely a great way to spend a hot day. There is an area on our lake that we can park and do the same thing.
You have two smart friends Malibu is the way to go. We love ours.
It's been a fun summer and I am sad to see it come to an end. Just got back tonight from a weekend at the lakehouse and the weather does not seem promising for a warm fall.

Had an 06 vx110, loved that thing. Could push out 60 with it all day long.
Had to sell it, 3-4 years owning it and had less than 60 hrs on it

ill tell ya that if u get one get the 255 i see a huge difference in power however the 215 is still fast and will run almost 70. i love the 255 simply because when you pin it you better be hanging on otherwise it WILL rip the controls from your hands. the good thing about the exhaust and the intercooler is that they are supposed to cool the motor off a little and give more low end which comes in handy when pulling a tube and what not
