Freeway rolls will be the only place where the Z28 will get the Nissan, IMHO, or maybe in drag races up to 150. At the 1/4-mile mark, a GTR and a V are about 2mph apart, so I would be inclined to believe that with less weight than the CTS-V and more power than the GTR, the Z28 might be a match for the GTR after the 1/4. This is all assuming that the Camaro doesn't gain a significant amount of weight in its jump from SS to Z28.

I agree with everything said.

Its got its work cut out for it. SLP's zl575 is putting out incredible numbers, so the z will definitely have to come out lighter and be in the 500 hp range to compete. The lsx motor in the caddy is top notch, but by the time the z comes out ford may be turning up the notch a bit to counter it.

The Z28 will be fine as long as they keep the weight at or below 3900 pounds. The LSA in CTS-V spec will be more than a match for the 2011 GT500's new engine.
