My current build (in progress) is an LQ9 402 with a Callies crank, manley pistons and rods, Clevite bearings and ARP bolts throughout. After speaking to Tony Mamo, I'm getting AFR 230's w/ 72cc chambers (those are the new 225's. the 225's aren't being made anymore) and a fast 102. This set up should put me at about 515rwhp and put me in the 10's with an almost full weight car. (I'm also doing a tubular K member to try to compensate for the iron block)

With all this I'll be more than happy, and like someone said, the torque curve will be awesome!

    That my .02 cents.

Flat top piston will make it right around 11:1 if my math is correct.

Oops, I failed to mention the pistons are a -6 dish. Tony didn't have his calculator with him at SEMA, but he thought 72's might work best. Might have to mill them a bit. I'm still a semi motor newb.

That's the only thing I dont know 100% yet. I live in Cali, more specifically the Burbank/Hollywood/LA area and it's pretty strict out here as far as emissions and mods, and I'm hoping I dont get popped with the new motor and have to see a "smog referee".

I think I'm going to go with a 114 LSA (to keep her quiet) and then let "Patrick G" spec a cam for me that will put down over 500 NA to the wheels. I'll have the heads, cubes and intake to easily do it. But I for sure want to be in the 10's. Mid 9's if I squeeze (which may only be once or twice if I have the guts)

I've got all the cash I need to finish, but man, It's hard to drop major coinage on something all at once. Let the good times roll, right?
