ZFX allows you to apply multiple coats of Z2/Z5 in a 24 hour period, it speeds up the curing process. Other than that, its really not necessary. Unless you just need to put 2 or 3 coats of Zaino on in a day, I would not recommend using or buying the ZFX.

ok thanks Preston.....so you suggest just using the one coat of the Z2 or Z5 and then the Z6? for both cars?

You can do a coat of Z5, finish it with Z6, wait 24 hours and do it again if you want. Zaino does recommend that Z2 be your last coat, but you can do Z5, Z2 in any order you choose. Just give 24 hours between each coat to allow for proper curing.

i think im going to run Z2 and Z6 on the t/a

and Z5 and Z6 on the DD thats always outside

how does that sound? or am i wasting time and need to get the ZFX?
Thats fine, but its recommended by Zaino to use the ZFX to help bond it to the paint, or to put a coat of ZAIO down first. I'd just get the ZFX

The Z8 is a good product, but its pretty pricey at $20/bottle. I use it sparingly.

Yes, you should use Z6/Z8 between each coat, even if you put three coats on in a 24 hour period.

Nah, you'll be fine. Zaino is actually easier to put on then carnuba-based waxes. Just make sure you've prepped your finish properly (but that applies to any product, whether it be a wax or polish/sealant).

Zaino is great stuff. I just would never apply it on a humid day otherwise it takes forever to dry and you just end up smearing it around.

On a nice dry day with low humidity it comes off nicely and nothing shines as nice as Zaino.

    Good Info

I just ordered the Ultimate Kit. I also bought a couple of extra applicators, 100% cotton Made In Usa towels and the glass Polish. I can't wait to get started. I will post before and after pics when I am done.

IMO ditch the cotton towels (most who say 100% are not actually truthful) and get microfiber ones.

Not a bad Idea. I actually perfer my microfiber. I always use those with my Mothers Detailer spray. Do I really need a electric polisher to do a good detail job or can i get good results by hand. I had a professional detail the outside. He didn't get alot of the inperfections out and the first time he gave it back to me with swirls everywhere. I think he had one of his low paid workers do it. I am worried about putting swirls in my car, but I think I will do a better job since its my car.
