I dont think your getting the point. People who are spending $2 million on a car are not just getting a fast car, they are getting something much more than that. A veyron is pretty much the bench mark in the automotive industry. Every thing about that car is like something from Ripleys Believe it or Not.
Sure you can go out and buy an old camaro and drop a 500+CI motor with some juice and run 8's and kill the veyron in the 1/4. Other than that, what else can you do to beat it? Once your car gets to 160-170 its gonna run out of speed where as the veyron will still keep pulling for another 80-90mph more.
A jet might be faster, but I'm sure ppl who have such cars have their own private planes to get around if they are in a hurry...
Either way I'm sure 99.9% of the ppl on this site cant afford one, which is why we envy it"Life is to short to drive a slow car"

My parents have an airplane also, I have posted pics of the back end in the hanger it was in the same frame as an the Falcon. I posted pics once of my stepdad's helicopter he worked on in the past. I posted the company and name of the owner who my mom worked for that has nice cars/bikes. I posted pics of a few cars we owned in the pass (SS Impala, 97 WS6, 08 Ram, 88 Corvette, two Harley's, 97 Acura, 98 Trans Am, 93 Corvette, 63 Falcon is all I can recall posting pics of). Number of members of my family have a pilot license, I was even working on it at some point. I could solo at one point, but have no interest in flying. I am not sure exactly how many hours is needed to fly a Jet but I know it's not to many. I have posted proof in the pass and don't see why I would still need to. But to me, learning to fly and owning a jet would be more fun then a $2,000,000 car. Maintenance on both seem high. So may as well get the cooler of the two.
I am sure the SHines bashing will still roll on. Either way IDC, I will laugh with you.

I still see your point. I agree it's top car and will be the car to beat for years to come. Would be fun as hell to own. But I can think of much cooler things to me (IMHO) to own then a pricey ass car, again this is IMHO.
Also if I needed to know exact qualifications to fly a Mig. I would not got to Wikipedia, not a good source. I would either look into the FAA, Pilot Forum, or ask the instructor who rents our airplane. I was told the requirements a year ago and I don't think it's that much to fly a jet.Last edited by SHines-IT; 07-28-2010 at 05:03 PM.

Will admit tho, that the car is badass
I'd buy one if I had cash laying round to do so! Could only imagine how a car of that price range/would be

Pewter- 2002 Z28 (sold)
SSC Ultimate Aero V8, bests the Vyeron by 4MPH, and cost about 1/3 the price. or the Saleen S7, 5 MPH slower then the Vyeron, and at a cost of 555,000.00. So two of the fastest cars in the world are made right here in the USA. basically you can buy the Aero and the S7 and still have money left over!

i don't give a fuck what pictures you have... you were wrong about being able to fly a jet in a few hours...

Pewter- 2001 Camaro Z28 M6
exactly.... same with buying a lamborghini... yes a TT f-body can smoke a lamborghini, but which one will get you more VIP and exclusive treatment and MORE PUSSY....
Exotic cars like Bugatti, lamborghini, ferrari, SSC Ultimate Aero, are an exclusive group of cars and demand and change your lifestyle.
You've never seen or hear about white trash building up a lambo or bugatti with duct tape, an adustable wrench and a 40 year ford 9inch covered in rust.
Simply put, exotic are more about a life style then just speed.
See one up close, sit in one, ride in one, and you feel the change and difference....
