just a well tuned goodwrench 350 with a manifold and headers. Guy with the same setup as me ran a 14.5 with a spool to my open carrier http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...8&postcount=50

hah, I believe i'll save my pennies for 4.10's and limited slip. 200-4r (eventually) has a deeper first gear as well.. This one wheel peel is killing me. I should not be spinning into second a bit

i have 3:73's and a mig locker in mine--- damn does it hook up.
2004r's can be built tough but it takes some money to properly build them right. i had one built once that was supposedly good for 700hp and i blew it the first time i opened it up--- snapped the main input drum shaft clean in half. the problem is easily fixed with billet piece, but it's like $700
a th700 can be built th handle around 500hp for hardly any more than a stock rebuild, has a lower 1st gear than a th350 and practically bolts right on place. you just have to move your crossmember back several inches.

both require crossmember movement, but the 200 can use the stock driveshaft. and it's plays nicely with wot shifts into 4th along with towing in 4th. The gear spread on a 700 sucks too
