    I think it's pretty good... But depends on who's making it. My grandma out in kansas, damn. Taste like normally beef, but it's fish (Crappie). So it's very high in protein.

    well prepped elk jerky wrecks beef jerky. i like both still. but bacon still wins. bacon goes with everythin. bacon wrapped shrimp and jalapenos, bacon burgers, bacon and cheese fries or tots, bacon wrapped asparagus, bacon wrapped scallops, bacon and syrup. there is just so much to choose from.

    you mean the people who arent limited to solely beef for their jerky? you dont need to be in texas to use a smoker properly. well prepped plus different meats will open your eyes if you give it a chance.

    sorry i didnt give you the heads up sooner! next time i make bacon wrapped poppers, im going to pan fry them a little just to crisp the bacon, then batter them, then deep fry them.

    That does look good. Apparently the smokin' process cooked the bacon? It looks raw compared to the smoke flavor injected store brand bacon.

    I like bacon but i love beef jerky.Teriyaki flavor for sure and actually believe it or not beef jerky is way healthy for you than bacon unless you eat Turkey bacon which has 65% less fat than bacon made out of pork.
