Umm... Forza is just as much as a driving simulator as gran turismo if not more. And don't fall for the marketing hype of "500 different cars". Have you actually seen car lists release so far? They consider the most minor variation of a car a different car. IE: they consider the v6 and v8 model of a mustang DIFFERENT CARS, and god knows how many type R honda, type lmnop, type zzzz, type rice import cars they're gonna have.
The vast amount of customization is unbelievable down to even engine swaps, not to mention the amount of tuning capable of being done to the car.

It takes 6 months worth of man hours to fully create a car for GT5. If theres a reason it's taking them so long it's because they model every nuance of the car. down to the stitching of the leather on the interior views. They test lap every car in the game at real circuits and fine tune the in game models to handle precisely the same. GT5 isn't strictly about tuning. The cars in the game run the gamut from slow poky 35hp junks up to F1 race cars. Any level of performance you will find in their list. Forza comes out with games faster sure but are all the engine swaps realistic? were all those cars instrumented and lapped for accuracy? Or does forza laser scan the car and plug the specs into a physics simulation model and hope for the best. Sure it will get it close a lot of the time but I think the 140+ devs that travel around the world measuring coding driving testing etc each and every vehicle in the game gives the GT series a higher regard as far as realism goes.
That's not to say that Forza doesn't have it's own pluses in it's column. I recall hearing something about a special tire modeling physics engine at play in the Forza series. GT has never billed such a thing as a feature of their series although obviously if you are modeling cars you must model tires as well. So it could have just been Forza marketing fluff. who knows.

I bought the 360 for Forza 3 and because it was cheaper than the PS3. Friend of mine owns a PS3. I'm sure we could work somethin' out if need be.

Oh man why the hell did they have to put the cowl and west wings body kits in there.
Theres no reason to change the appearance of an already awesome looking car. You can only make it look worse by doing that stupid shit IMO.
Makes me sad.

I bought the LS9 and the TT kit and the race upgrade for the TT (already had suspension stuff done) and it sucked lmao, i went back to nearly unmodded 400ish hp LS1 to keep it competitive.
