    i honestly think the ls1 f-bodies are awesome on gas. shit i get 22-24mpg half city half highway in an a4. for being an "antigreen" v8 it does nicely imo.

    Yeah. There's a great Top Gear episode where they talk about how your mileage depends so much on how you drive.

    They took a Toyota Prius (I think) and a BMW M3 (the new one with the V8). They drove the Prius as fast as possible around the track, and had the M3 simply follow it.

    Turned out the BMW M3 got like 10 mpg better mileage; all because the Prius was floored the whole time.

    it seems like i go through gas quick but like a said before my mpg is 22-24. the tank is gone in a week of work alone. but it is only like 14 gallons too though. tiny tank for a "gas guzzler"

    I drove from Evansville, IN, to Atlanta, GA, after changing my oil and using some Seafoam. On a full tank I got 380 miles. Going 75.

    I agree. I think 26-28 is really good for a car that can smack down the quarter at almost 110 MPH, like my car does. If I had a tune for better cruise MPG, and a tune for better WOT performance, maybe I could get 29 highway and over 110 at the drag strip. I've heard some people say they get 30 in their LS1 cars.
