Damn Sarge you killed that bitch. YOu said the valve springs killed it what happened? Those Patriot heads come with springs to hold up to .650 lift. Was that not enough?

Well buddy...it is hard to tell when a motor eats itself to this extent for sure.....rod bolts/rods/pistons/heads all exploded....I just got off the phone with Gunnar down in Alabama at Patriot...man those folks are A++....damn good folks....now we have some decesions to make.....really 3 sets of heads to choose from....59cc/64cc...2.02's....2.08's....2.43's (LS2)...and all the combinations those provide....I dunno....gotta be a little concerned about giving up bottom end (torque) if you go to big....They are giving me a big price break for being a good customer...hell they didnt have to do that....stand up shop there.....I'll be talking to Allen Nelson this morning and see what he thinks will work the best with the 402/the 588 cam we have etc..... engine geometry makes me spill my beer....

I really want the stage 3 Patriots. Man that is some good shit that they are doing for you. You can get those heads for like $1200 assembled so anything less than that they are paying you to buy them. Did it hurt your heads or are you just thinking of upgrading? Are you using anything other than the intake, headers etc or are you going to use the cam also?

)...headers/intake/TB all that is going in the new engine....this thing will be a major beast when we are done....new underdrive pulley just for grins

what kind of power band are you guessing with that setup, and drivability with cam?

Cam is great...I have had it on the previous motor....kick you flat in the ass from about 3500 to 7200....stall is a 3500...nitrous window is 3500-6200...lots of shit happens at 3500...you better be hanging on....this new motor is a torque monster with the gut to pull all the way to 7000....so we'll double the shot of nitrous (100 to 200) and see what she feels like...we are looking for 550 all motor and over 700 to the ground with the giggle juice....I'm confident....
