Yes, NJ is a nanny state ad nauseam. Has lots of lawyers too. Many lawyers who own guns, come to think of it.

Anyway, back to the OP'er and subject at hand.

I still don't think your best move regarding "what should I do with a handgun I found" is to take the advice you receive from your virtual friends and other strangers on an automotive internet forum.

That's the dumbest thing i've ever heard. If you pull a gun on someone you better make damn sure you have the capability to kill them with the first shot. And legally, even with rubber bullets, you must be justified to use lethal force in order to shoot so it might as well be the real thing.
