My boyfriend got me the complete Planet Earth series.

My parents gave me the title to my car (they paid the last few months of my car off for me ), a leather jacket, a pearl and gemstone bracelet with my name and a saying engraved on it, and money for a new cell phone cause mine is broken.

Mom works for JCrew so a bunch of really nice clothes, and an Ipod hookup for my car. My sisters pitched in and got me this cool little audio mixer as well. Fun stuff.

Got the Flex da polisher and some pads, an Ipod touch (which I'm posting from), clothes, about $3,500 in cash, and bought myself a Taurus 357 magnum and a Mossberg 12 gauge. I did okay.

I also got another Bareknuckle pickup to go in my Caparison in my avatar for Christmas but am waiting on it as well. It's called a Warpig. This is what it looks like. It is basically the most brutal sounding (and looking) pickup on the planet

Exactly that why I MUST have it. The Road King is an awesome amp but its mostly a studio amp and just has so many features and tones that I dont really need even though Im a tone Junkie.

I have a 2chan Mesa Dual Rec Rackmount that I use for live shows and thats a real basic version of the RK anyway.

The Powerball is just in a whole different league and ive been gassing for it for about 2 years. Hopefully this guy will by my RK and I can pick up the Powerball a local guy has for sale.

    What amp do you use?

Right now I am just using a POS Line 6 for practice. I really don't need a great amp right now as I'm not playing in a band, but I think I'm going to have to get something around tax return time as I am getting real tired of shit tone. I would love to get an Engl or VHT, but wont be able to spend that much coin. I will probably pick up a 5150 or 6505+.

ENGLs and VHTs are great amps but definitely cost a good amount. Also check out the 5150 III. That thing is amazing.

The 5150s and 6505s are nice too but definitely need a tube screamer in front of it to beef them up. You can get a real nice tone out of them but theres just something about the ENGLs tone that other amps cant match.

The other guitar player in my band uses a 5150II but hasnt changed his tubes in too long and it just doesnt sound too good but could sound a lot better.

My advice is to just go out and play and mess with every type of head you can in person. Dont forget about the cabs though, makes a big difference. I use an oversized Mesa Standard 4x12. I was playing a 6505 in guitar center the other day and running it through the Peavey matched cab and just wasnt feeling the tone. I switched it over to the Mesa Standard next to it and was in heaven. It made a huge difference.

    Got that right.

It was Sara's gift to me (that Julie bought, and claimed to put a 'lot of thought into,' even though I have told her for years to NEVER buy me a wallet).
