If you have a little buttton by the ash tray that says TCS or ASR, then you do.. if you have a little cubby hole.. then you don't.. kinda hard to miss. And yes, you turn it off when its running.. its a toggle switch.

If you pulled the plug from the back of the switch would that disable it? I don't have TC now, but if I thought of that when I had my 02 with it I would have tried it.
