Sorry for the bad updates its been rough!
One step forward two steps back! So I got the LQ4 fully put together and me and a buddy swapped it in a weekend. I spent about 30 minutes getting it to run and idle in the driveway. So me and my buddy took it for a test drive everything was good till I looked down at my gauges and and I went from 70psi of oil pressure to 10psi so I got her back home and changed the oil and it came out silver So the swap begins again! Pulled the LQ4 out got new head gaskets and oil pan gasket and put the heads cam and intake on the LS1 to go back into the car!
I haven't looked far into the LQ4 yet but Numbers 3,7,and 8 rod bearings are Destroyed along with the crank journal... YAY!
LQ4 Swap
LS1 OUT!
My Buddy
LQ4 Going In
Getting Ready for First Start
finishing final steps
LQ4 is back out again YAY!
LS1 back in and running!

The arp bolts have a higher torque spec than factory bolts when they got torqued down it misshaped the rod ends and caused the clearance to be to tight in the centers and too loose on the sides. You resize them to the bolts when they are fully torqued you pretty much hone them out to have a bigger bore so till they are round again!

Block is fine crank is scored pretty bad and rods are fine so that's a bonus I guess the next build for that motor will probably be a fully forged 370!

Let me get this straight.
With ARP bolts for the Connecting rods I will need to have them torqued to specs, then have a machine shop "re-size" them for proper clearance correct?
I ask because I have found a place that will cryo-treat an entire engine for $450. Reading the literature and it seems this is what some NASCAR, INDY, and some other motor sport teams are doing to their engines. Gives them much more engine life and makes them much stronger.
I won't say it makes it bullet proof but will make it much better then stock.
