Right on, well it didnt take us long to fully tune my car with a 230/236 cam. And we started from scratch as the tune I previously paid for was just to good to play with

Ok first I know it's a thread from way back but it answer some of my questions. I'm asking because my tuner is recommending me go ahead with a SD tune. We are at sea level if it means anything.
So here's the one's I don't have answers too?
1) Can you do a SD tune with a Wideband? Does it help the tune/tuner?
2) What is needed to convert to SD tune BESIDES a tune. Meaning do I just find tubing to connect from the airlid to the throttle body and call it good?

yes....you need a wideband to dial in the VE. You can leave the MAF in place if you want or you can pull it out and put a baker hose or something there.

I'm looking for advice from a legitimate tuner. I have a heavily modified LS3 in my 00- bird. It's currently not running a MAF, and as such, is SD tuned. I have an issue where it stalls all the time after I clutch to come to a stop. I'm looking for recommendations on a new MAF set up, the stock MAF is to small and will bottle neck my air flow. Any info you can give will help greatly.
Regards,

who tuned it originally and has anything changed since that tune? That's the idle air tables.....should be pretty easy for someone to dial those in. What mods do you have and what cam specifically? You can always go back to a MAF but I wouldn't do it just because of the issue you're having. Chances are if that idle air table is off it's going to need to be retuned anyhow MAF or not. Actually....you're looking at a tune either way because your MAF tables will have to be adjusted.

I have a LS3 with the stock intake, nick Williams TB, LG G6x3 cam, SDPC heads, kooks 1.75 headers. I never knew the specs on the cam, and I can't remember which heads. I'd have to dig that info up. As for who tuned it, it was a friend of mine who has tuned more than 30 cars. He knows the LS ecm well, he had his 4th Gen dialed in perfect,as well as, his 5th Gen.
