It all depends on your rim size, if you have the 16 by 8's im not really sure but the 17 by 9's can get 315's put on I think.

All you need is slp exhaust and a set of drag radials and 12.9 with an auto can be yours.

What else do you need to do besides change the rear gears? Does the computer accept the change? What about speedo calibration? I'm asking because I have 2.73's and I want 3.42's.

The Evo 9 with just exhaust, intake, fuel pump, boost controller and a good tune on race gas on 27psi is capable of 11.7-11.9 at around 112mph. I own one and I can tell you it will run this numbers with the right driver. Be very careful. Evo 9 is much faster than a Evo 8 so I would not play with it.

empty all the trash from your car, spare tire, glove dept, papers CDs etc...all the extras.. it gets 50-60lbs off, wash the car the night before, there's sand and dust that weights 10-15lbs, also have no more than 1/4 of tank at the track, get some air out of the back tires, u get more contact area and more flat for the track,, finally, if u got A4, at the track have left foot on brake and right rev it up 4-5k and floor it at 3rd yellow light.. practice the take off,,,

under the hood of your trans am, if its a 98-02 model, look where the intake for the ram air is, there is a big piece of plastic which is blocking incoming air, drill the rivets out and take that piece of shit out of there, when i did, i got another pound per minute of air, which translated takin me from 13.1-2 to 12.7-8

i got the SLP cold air inducted from underneath. don't need to spend $800 on a hood.. and I do look like stock, yeah nice surprise when I whoop them
so get the SLP cai, lid and filter. $300 all together and you'll gain 10rwhp.

The Evo 9 comes with MIVEC which is like VTEC and also the turbo is bigger. It also has water running through the head which allows for more boost than the 8. The MIVEC makes the turbo spool much faster. My Evo with Turbo Back exhaust, Intake, Manual Boost Controller, Fuel Pump and a Tune. With 110 Oct Gas and 27psi I ran with my friends 98 Camaro SS with Cams, Ported Polished Heads, Lid and Full Exhaust, 410 Gears and a Tune. On top end 60-140 and I pulled on him on 3rd, 4th and we were dead even on 5th.

if u wanna do gears change from 2.73, do 3.73 if u are A4 or 4.10 if u M6.
but u need to recalibrate the speedo using a handheld programmer like HyperTech 3, or heck do a pro tune at a dyno shop. otherwise your speedo will be way off,
also do torque stall converter, the gears will let u accelerate faster and the stall will
do a torque multiplier.. u smoke hiz asz.

start with a 02-04 z06 instead.....if your looking to build a monster is a much better platform than an fbody

neah, too much money, just get 01-02 ws6 (ls1) since it uses the ls6 intake manifold already, and it has an above average exhaust system already, then do a ls1 to ls6 motor swap. that way you got the ls6 heads/cam.. u can just port those heads and ur cool, then slap a supercharger..
that should put u 550 to engine spending as much as u woud buy a c5 z06 but 150 more hp at flywheel...
