Aren't Beretta GT's and Z34 Lumina's pretty much the same thing?
Berettas and Corsicas are the same thing, just the Beretta is 2 door and the Corsica is 4 door. I don't think the Corsica had GT, GTZ, or Zxx versions though.

Crap - I didn't see the Supra on there the first time, so I put Evo.

I would say Supra or an LSX-swapped 3rd gen RX7. A friend of mine has a 512whp single turbo Supra that ran 11.17 (should be able to run a high 10 now) as well as a 591whp Kenne Bell powered 04 Cobra that was formerly Bob Cosby's car. That bastard has both the import and domestic guys humping his legs around town lol.

I think we are underestimating the 1970 Datsun 240Z, before 1970 NOBODY drove imports it was considered unamerican and those import cars were slow and ugly. Sure a 1970 Vette would stomp a 240 Z however those cars were bullitproof, lightweight, got great gas mileage and looked great. Wow throw on three Webber carbs, a cam and headers and you could run 14 sec quarter mile times!

Obviosly you guys have never had the pleasure of driving some of the turbo imports. I own a 1994 300zx twin turbo and i was smoking the shit out of the LS1's (modded at that) with my car. THe decision to buy the trans am was because there was not enough room in my Z for the kid and the husband and the husbands car is too loud and obnoxious anymore. Furthermore, my trans am is the slowest freaking car ive ever owned in my life. And it feels like a cardboard box compared to my Z, but the trans am has its good qualities or i wouldnt have bought it. Nor will i get rid of it now.

LOL! Dude, you are aware that a considerable amount of LS-1 F bodies have broken their rear ends with just modest power increases over stock? In fact last weekend when I was at the 1/8th mi track in Mooresville, NC, a friend of mine who has a nice bolt-on w/a small shot of the gas LS-1 broke her rear end.
I'm not sticking up for DSMs in any way because I am indifferent about them, but you are just the Pot calling the Kettle black.

Dude!!! Im not a dude. Im a woman. Which part was I calling the kettle black???? Afraid not. Im just saying in horsepower, Id rather drive my twinturbo because it is a hell of lot faster and more powerful than MY trans am currently, and Im sure there is a Trans Am out there thats going to smoke my ass and if GM has a problem with rearends snapping with a "modest" power adder, thats pretty shitty. They must not have been built very well. Not to mention I run with a pretty diverse group of hot rodders and none of them have ever snapped a rearend in their GM. I could say alot more. But I wont.

thats cause they are ultra expense, with ultra expensive maintance for lil gain..only thing those cars are worth is for looks and flash. I'd take a built camaro SS, supra, swapped rx7, skyline, c6, evo, civic bubble back with a k serive swap...ect before I'd take a ferrari or lambo.

well i drive a Celica, it isn't fast, but the interior is nice and its a comfortable ride.

sure, its only a 4 cyl, 140 hp, but I never race it and its bone stock.

i got fucking rear ended after having it only a month, and the replacement bumper is a piece of shit, even though you cant tell.. just near the bottom by the exhaust tip its starting to separate.

other than that, the engine is very reliable and its a great car. the leather, cd player, sunroof, all i need.

I DO NOT INTEND TO RICE IT OUT. I FUCKING HATE RICERS!!!!!

lol yea, Im not saying the ls1's and all motors for that matter dont have their own individual problems. All im saying (and I dont know this from first hand experience I just did a lot of reading when I was considering buying one) is that a lot of the '95+ DSM's with the 4G63 had consistent crankwalk problems. It wasnt just a car here one year, another one the next year, it was a considerable amount of them. A lot of them did have it, especially in '95 and '96. Just my $0.02
