Pewter- 2001 Pontiac Trans Am WS6
I heard in 98 there was only 3 purple WS6s, but the inverse is one of one. My 2001 has never seen rain or snow - How rare is that? Only 5,040 Miles too....

The Rarest 4th Gen Firebird is...
this has to be the rarest 4th Gen Firebird, it was a 2003 Trans Am, the only 2003 Trans Am in existance.
Attachment 932
"The GM Performance Division 2003 Super Duty 427 TransAm is reminiscent of the 1970-71
original production Pontiac Firebird TransAm. This vehicle is a modern
interpretation of the classic, with a white exterior accented with blue
racing stripes and classic shaker hood. The front and rear spoilers were
modified to mimic the original muscle car along with front and rear wheel
aero spats. The interior appointments come complete with all the amenities
of the original and include a Hurst shifter, perforated heliocone blue
leather seats and a DNA white perforated leather headliner. The steering
wheel is also leather wrapped in blue to match. The 427 c.i. powerplant,
matched with an automatic transmission, supplies 455 horses to the
285/30/ZR20 inch rear tires. The front wheels are fitted with 265/30/19
high performance tires. This is the only 2003 Trans Am in existance and
the last Trans AM to ever be produced"
What a sick car!! I would love to own this bird!

I've read about that, it's just a converted 2002, it wasn't last off the line, and GM did it for an auto show. It's not an actual 2003 production car. It's one of one because its a custom car that GM just put it's name on. They did a camaro like that too

Damn that would have been awesome if that was actually the last one produced, especially in '03.

sold: 1999 firebird- 1998 Trans Am
no, with exception of LS1 Trans Ams, which only two were made.
being a WS6, Firehawk or SS does NOT constitute t-tops as standard. Camaros and Formulas had t-tops as an option, and with an exception of 2, T/As had them standard.
yes.
true.
12 not 3.
not rare at all. there are two in my small home town, out of a group of about ten T/As total that reside there.

Oh, ok, I was just wondering. My best friend just bought one and we was wondering if NBM was a rare color. It does have the tan, some call it pewter, and black interior in it. Though, the ones i've seen have the all black (ebony) or in the case of the '98-'00 graphite interior.

Black/Screaming Yellow- 99 S/C TA WS6 & 04 Cobra
The GMMG cars are not production cars to my knowledge.
I think the big question here is factory packages or aftermarket BS like Blackbirds, GMMG, Mecham.?. I would think that factory packages like Firehawk, T/A GT, WS6, SS, Anniversary cars, Dale Earnhardt Edition SS's and ETC. would be the only ones to count.Last edited by Packy; 12-25-2010 at 06:53 PM.

To each his own but some of the people who own and drive these so called special models are sometimes the biggest tools that tell you some wild story about how rare their car is but usually it is just a sticker kit or some other bs...
Some can start reading here: http://www.ws6.com/faq/index.htm

Navy Blue Metallic- `98 Formula M6 HdTp
Wow Old thread.
Rarest F-bodies are the 2 1998 Formula WS6 convertibles.
Both are Red one auto one manual one black top one white top.
One was crushed by GM the other found it's way into private hands and last I heard resides in Mass.
There was also 1 `98 Formula WS6 with the 1LE Pkg built in Sport Gold Metallic.Craig

I know the NBM Base T/As aren't rare. It's just the '98s specifically we were asking about. I know that they replaced the BPM cars in '98, so I didn't know how many were done that year. I know NBMs are all around...just was curious about the '98.

Black- 1998 Trans Am WS6 'Vert
Yeah, 0 of 0, as no such beast was made. At one time it was reported that one of the 12 BPM WS6 coupes was a Formula, but I confirmed that was an error in the data as all 12 are T/As.
