But anyways, I have read about how the octane booster doesn't add that much. But I was looking at AutoZone the other day and saw that NOS has a booster out that says it raises octane by a full 60 points. Correct me if I'm looking at this wrong but say 87.0 octane and add the NOS booster (60 Points) that would bump it up to 93.0 octane?? I'm thinking each 1 octane is 10 points right? Or would it be each .1 is 10 points. So say the 87.0 octane would only go up to 87.6??

I don't know! Someone shed some light on this.

If it really said 60 points then it would go from 87 to 93.

Here's a link that tells about the product. I guess they have three different ones, 30 points Street, 50 points Off Road, and 60 points Race. The only place I'v seen this is at Advance Auto but not to say other auto parts stores don't carry it.

Has anybody tried any of these? Would it be bad to run the 60 point race stuff in a pretty much stock motor?

If you look at the MSDS of the racing octane booster it doesn't say anything about lead. I also looked at the TDS (which is a also a link on that page) it says " It was developed to increase octane effect
ratings as much as seven (7) points." so I don't know what to beleive.
