I look at it this way. I dont really NEED an xbox. I want one, but I dont NEED to have it. I have enough work to do on the car to keep me occupied all the time and I have another new exhaust coming for the truck too

PS3 are no longer backwards compatible. the last system that has that feature was the MGS4 Bundle pack, which is the PS3 system that I have...

you can go on Sony's website and see for one's-self which systems and the years they were produced that have back-compat function...

I just visited, and apparently they produced a number of 160gig PS3's in November that have backwards compatibility. Thanks for the heads-up. Now I know what to look for when going out to buy mine today.

I was thinking of getting a regular Blue-Ray Player. But someone said just get the PS3 and have both.

i was in the same position as you. once I got my stimulus check, i made up my mind to get the PS3 over just a B.R. player so I could play games as well.

i got my MGS4+HDMI cables, for $450 at a Gamestop. I saved about $100 in all cause i asked if the guy would cut me a discount since i wanted to walk out with one that day.

your lucky you didnt buy a diesel truck Ed. Its as addictive as modding our cars!!!!! Cant beat 650tq from just a tune

The biggest kick in the balls was I could've purchased the 80gig PS3 for $299 on black friday PLUS a $100 walmart gift card (for games and the PS3/Blu-Ray remote, another controller etc...). Now it's @ $400 just for the system
