Yeah. I had the 2 piece set-up in my 1996. It was a real POS. Ended up having a custom one built.

I would love to drop the cash on a set of L92 heads but my alternative thought was to grab a set of heads off of a Vette and have them ported and polished I found a few that are still assembled for around 250 , does anyone have an estimate on getting them machined or should I just get a new set?
By the way everyone here is really helpful and I appreciate all the tips, I been on some other sites and those guys/girls grill you even the most basic questions. This site is GREAT.

RED- 1998 Camaro
Update
The driveshaft is covered, and the car should be here around the middle of Feb maybe the end , 98-00 LS1 w/harness is being hunted, Heads and intake should be done prior to the bolt up I have an eye on a set , Still need the rear end on the hunt for that as well. The great thing is the car is a V6 base no power locks or windows so the engine harness and some elbow grease should give me a great start. The fuel line assembly is what I need to find, I going to run a stock pump for now I can get that pretty quick.
I will post pic as I gather everything up and the build starts. Thanks EveryoneLast edited by cade75; 01-16-2012 at 06:53 AM.

The 3800 and the LS1 both use the same fuel pump configuration (cartrage style) in the tank, and both pump harnesses plug into the tunnel behind the driver rear passenger seat.
Both have the fuel lines that come up along the drivers side shock tower with 2 lines to the rail 1 inlet and one return.
Both also use a fuel tank vapor purge solenoid as well.Last edited by Smittro; 01-16-2012 at 07:24 AM.

As seen here on my 01 rail, there's an inlet and the return just below is the evap solenoid.

I thought that the V8 was a 2-line with a t-fitting in the rear for the evap/return I am not sure?? Here is a link to a swap that I found using google any tips on this will help. I am sorry if LS1T is a bad word here its what came up when I was looking for info on the fuel lines.

The "T" creates 2 fuel lines in a looped fasion on the LS1 and the other line without the "T" is the evap.
Like I said you would need to modify the v6 line outlet (presure side) some by simply adding a "T" before the filter and connecting the v6 return to the "T" for your LS1.
Then you can connect the evap just like it was on the v6 to your evap solenoid on the LS1.
You'll just eliminate the v6 return line by caping it.Last edited by Smittro; 01-16-2012 at 07:00 PM.
