Never rode in one, but I bet they launch hard as hell. I'll tell ya though, the Syclones launch WAY harder than a Typhoon.

    Thanks Murder!

I've been looking for a good GN for a while. I've wanted to do a GNX "clone" every since '87. Sure, I'd love a "real" GNX. But I'd be terrified to take it anywhere worrying about what might happen to it. I got lucky and found this car the day it was put up for sale and snagged it up quick-like. It had low miles, was mildly modded and not particularly beat on, yet wasn't a car that I'd be afraid to play with.

What kind of GN are you looking for? I run across them every now & then and will gladly pass along anything I may find to help in your quest.

If you can ever catch a ride in one, I recommend it.

Yea, the Sys are brutal on the launch. I drove several of them when they were new. I ended up buying a Ty for long-term use. It launched pretty hard, too, even though you could feel the added weight of the SUV body.

The GC is pretty brutal, though. Even with an ass-load of Dynamat and my fat ass driving it, I have consistently cut 1.8 60' times. That's with 3/4 of a tank of fuel in it to boot. And the only mod I have is a Borla cat-back which isn't good for all that much power.

It's also got a Kenne Bell front spoiler with direct ram air, Kenne Bell fuel pressure gauge, gauge pod in the dash on the passenger side (this is probably coming out) and is also coming with a trunk full of extra stuff I have yet to inventory like dealer brochures, full parts listings, tech manuals, records for all maintenance and parts, etc. It's going to need paint at some point due to it having 1987 paint on it. But all in all, I think it was a pretty decent deal.

that sounds like an amazing deal! I love GNX's! I want one so bad. A guy I work with has one.

1.8 is very impressive for something its size. My dads Sy went 1.6 60ft' with a dead miss. Only thing done was a torque converter. I'd kill for it, but I think I'd hate to drive it since its all original with only 17k miles.

I thought so, too. I've loved these cars for years. The guy your dad works with is a very lucky individual.

1.6 60'? Damn! That's bad ass! And with only 17k on the clock, I don't blame ya for being hesitant to drive it.

No no, the guy I work with. He said he runs 11.4's on street tires.

Apparently reading comprehension was kicking my ass earlier.

11.4... That's a quick car. Did he saw what mods he has done?

If it runs 11.40's on streets, it is NOT stock. No way in hell, but then again, maybe you didn't say if it's stock, or not.
