I'll say quickly that we patched using the same material the spoiler is, then fiberglass, bondoed where we needed to fill low spots, then a poly coate bondo, then to sandable primer and then shot the spoiler with primer.
I have pics on the iPhone showng this and will post those up. Getting ready to put the spoiler on the car in a test fit. There will be the mounting bumps in the hatch itself that will be seen. I have not done any work to the hatch at this time

thanks Shady!
took sometime to do, but im happy with the outcome. i love the cantilever look of the spolier from the side (3rd pic). toyed with painting it black and slapping it on the car, but then i would have to do the priming and sanding process all over again once i chose a paint color.
how you been, what have you been up too?

Custom Swirly Black- 2001 WS6 M6
I had my doubts about the idea at first, but that is some damn fine work! Can't wait for the finish!
How strong does it seem? I would hate to see it sag.

thanks guys...
there is still the normal flexing that you get with the spoiler, but we inserted huge pieces of another TA spoiler i had to the inside underneath part. we drilled holes into them and then after expoxying we tightened them up using screws. after it dried, we used woven fiberglass strips in a criss-cross pattern to add extra strength. there is no way that we believe the spoiler will sag because of how we patched and sealed the holes.
i took some pics of the process with my iphone, so i just need to get them off my phone and up here.
