    Lombardo owns Lars on drums.

Agreed. I hope they do come back....more raw and less commercialized.

I still think Cliff burtons death spelled the end for the band. They went on to make AJFA and still had the fire. Then they came out with the black album to try to sell more records, then got rich and lost the hunger.
kill em All sounded the same as the 3 after it. They just hadn't perfected their sound, and James didn't get a mans voice untill Lightning. Don't tell me I don't know what I'm talking about.
Yes Cliffs death did take it's toll on the band.

jason newstead realised they sucked now days and left... i don't see metallica ever coming back and producing a good album... they were good when they were starving for money... now thier pockets are full and the desires that made good music is gone...

I liked Jason a lot-it's a damn shame they lost him, his stage presance was seriuosly astounding. I bet st. anger would have been much better with him...

that said, FUCK JAMES HETFIELD. I mean, i know he's a guitar god for sure and i'd worship him if could shake his hands, but that stupid Monster movie depicts him as being a little bitch. No james, you can't have a family and be a fucking rock star

give me the money he's made and you can call me a bitch and put up funny pictures about me too. Those guys have made an assload of money. I can see how it would be tough to stay cutting edge when you've pretty much achieved all your goals musically. What's left for them to do other than just continue? I'd like to see Lar's pick the double bases back up and those guys actually have some decent guitar in the next album. They used to be just incredible song writers in general but they went to far with st anger.

no no no, you all got it wrong. Metallica died when Dave Mustaine was kicked out. Thats why kill em all is such as great album because he wrote most of it i believe and also Mustaine was able to go about making Megadeth only second in sales behind Metallica, for metal that is.

Lets start a Megadeth thread now.
