i have to get my check engine light to come on when the key is turned to the on position, so i have no plates for my car right now. with getting codes deleted can they delete the check engine light so it won't come on?

It has to be where it can come on. There is other things it is used for. It can't and shouldn't be totally deleted.

yeah everything else passed just no check engine light when the key is turned to the on position. on a side note after he hooked the computer up to my car then started it the lady came running out of the office and said does that car have cats? did you check? that car is to loud it sounds like it has headers through some pipes. then almost didn't want to do the test. "redneck hillbillie chick" she said my cxar did n't pass because of the light. she said if the light doesn't come on they type no for the light i sadi what if you type yes she said the system will shut down, i laughed at here and said you can be serious, she'd like oh yeah. i said you know what i have 50.00 in my pocket you put yes in the computer and if the computer shuts done or i fail it's yours. she oike i can't. then i said i not stupid just don't lie to me and that you must get a kick out of cars failing, it makes your day. then i proceeded to leave. and when i fired the car up i gave it a littel extra.

I have heard of cars failing for that. Maybe it is the bulb. I don't know why it wouldn't be lighting up. Hell most of us want it to go out and you want it to come on.
