Mines on jack stands. Trying to do some maintenance on the transmission and it's turning into a nightmare. My driveshaft will not come off the output shaft. I've tried heat and lightly taping the yoke and no movement.
I'm going to be really pissed off if I need to drop the tranny.

That's next. I'm also getting a come along to see if that will help too.
I just hope it's just stuck and not twisted splines or output shaft damage.

Also TR6060 take a lot more to fit in a F body.

Hey y'all! It's been an awful busy winter/spring/summer for me! I haven't been online much! At least not on the forums! I don't have a computer anymore, so everything is done on my phone!
Anyhow, I haven done much to my TA this season but drive the piss out of it! Ever since the Monster twin-disc went in, all I've done is burn gas and rubber! I'm going on my third set of rear tires this summer!
Just enjoying it!Long ago...

You shouldn't really have to be putting air in your tires all the time. Unless you're adjusting air pressure when you run them at the track or something.

Shifter is in a different location, the bell housing bolt pattern is different then the LS1, the tail cone and output shaft are longer.
You can get a beefed up the T56 but only to about 700hp, RTM does have a Magnum T56 that you'll end up spend as much as a TR6060 and still not have quite as good as it.
It is possible to do a 6060 but you will need to do some serious fabing and spend quite a bit of $$$ to make it work.

Wut? That is nonsense. My 315/35/17 rears have much more sidewall than alot of the Bling Bling low profile tire rims out there. Although now I am regretting going with such a large wheel as there isn't enough rubber there anymore, haha. Just sits and spins. Need to get some good 15" soon.

Talk to Jason over at Texas Drivetrain Performance, he can do what you want.
Little excerpt from the site:
Custom transmission conversions. For those doing an LSX swap project, we offer conversion services. This means that we can take virtually ANY T56 or TR6060 and convert it to any other style that meets your needs. This allows the transmission to precisely fit your application with the correct shifter location, regardless which application the transmission originally was intended for. For example, we can take a transmission from a 2014 Camaro and retro fit it into a 2000 Camaro casing, to make it a direct bolt-in for you fourth gen f-body. Or, we can take a 2000 Dodge Viper T56 and retro-fit it to fit a 1969 Camaro with the Viper shifter location.
He is who I am going to get to build my T56 if I ever get to that stage. Funds for play time been kinda low lately and still need an S60.

Went Auto-X'ing this morning !! Had a blast running around with 'mostly' Porsches as it is put on by a Porsche club but all are invited. 9th out of 31 and 5th out of all non-Porsches. My recent purchase of decent auto-X tires really paid off (Falken Azenis' ). With a little tweeking, these cars really hang tough through the cones. Looking forward to the next outting.

Good going Terry!
Yeah, I gotta' get my SFC's welded in before my next run.
I really think my old tires we too underinflated for my own good. My new tires, same type, feel much firmer, than the old ones do. The old ones were in use for three years though
I might Velcro myself into the seat so I don't slide to the side as much on right turns too!Last edited by Whamhammer; 07-23-2017 at 11:40 AM.

Yeah, I just switched tire/simple maintenance shops that I do business with in the last week. The shop didn't have a person on duty to patch my wife's tire, which was the fourth time in a row that there was some sort of hassle involved using them.
How exactly is 12 inches of rubber not enough for you? Or are you just talking sidewall (that still should be about a 26 inch tall tire). Either way, shouldn't the suspension be a bigger concern if your just spinning with that much tire?

I would think that, while a 315/35 isn't the tallest sidewall, the tire still has a enough sidewall to be useful, it's only about 5mm shorter than the sidewall on my 285/40's. Our tire are far from the overstuff rubber band tires that the sideways hat wearing crowd love.
Are the tires overinflated, or just not sticky enough?
