Navy Blue Metallic- 98 T/A, 00 FBVert, 78T/A
Welded in my LCA relocation brackets, it sucks to do so with car on jack stands. Now I just got to make adjustments to the lca's and verify pinon angle again....
Also confirm my rear shocks are shot. So another item to fix.

2016 Camaro SS - Summit- 2001 Trans Am WS6 - NBM
Ordered a set of Mickey Thompson Street Comps today for the T/A. Had to order from two separate sites to get what we wanted, Summit and Jeg's had good prices but were backordered on the 315's (with an estimated delivery of September, whaaaaaat), so I ordered the fronts through Summit and found AmericanMuscle had the 315s in stock. Overall the prices were pretty good, about $200 cheaper total than the next tires up I could get in a full staggered set. She drives 5-10 miles a day on average, so they should last a little while.

Black/ Silver- 98 TA WS6/ 01 C5 Corvette
Need suggestions folks on finding the perfect shade of a particular color for my Bird. I'm wanting basically the darkest red you can get to the point it looks black except in the right light. These are what I am looking at right now but if possible I'd like something darker and slightly more red.

I would be looking at doing black with red metallic or pearl for that kinda look.
But Black cherry metallic looks pretty sweet as well

So far I think I like Lava Red metallic the best and then Black Rose metallic second. Here's Lava red up close and from afar. Also I ordered some more parts for my 8.8 rear.

Silver- '02 Trans Am WS-6, 6M
So, this weekend I decide to wash the engine bay, with the engine running, to make it nice for Carlisle. Yesterday, I romp on the gas, and the SES light kicks on, of course it's P0327. I clear the codes. Drive to work this morning, nothing but halfway home, SES is back, P0327.
Gonna try to reset it a couple of times to see if I can dry it out in the next couple of days but I think I know the score.

"What did I do to my Trans Am today"....
Well I decided to try and work out what that clunking noise is that I've noticed over the last year that everyone complains about from the passenger rear side of the car..
Does anyone have this issue.. and a fix?
I have been over everything on the suspension. All new aftermarket parts and they are all tightened. Car is lowered and it was more noticeable after the lowering springs were fitted. Seems to come from the rear passenger side shock area.. they are new and ive checked they are all tight top and bottom.
Mytheory is the axles.. anyone notice the side play on those c clip axle shafts and the clunk you get when you push them in and out.. could it be tham rattling around that is causing the annoying clunk ?? It only happens on small sharp bumps and cracks in the pavement.. Grrr its driving me nuts!
Kooks LT's /Magnaflow cats/SLP Y pipe. Ed Wright tune. BMR LCA's/Relocation brackets and torque arm. Lowered on BMR/Viking springs. Viking DA coilovers. Baer Claw 14" rotor big brake kit. 19" MRR GT1 rims

Have you tried replacing the rear diff fluid with the limited slip additive? Mine made a clunk and whine noise and then both went away after changing the fluid. Also do you have lca relocation brackets they are a must after lowering to not get wheel hop which may be the clunking noise you are getting.

Yep I tried changing the fluid and using additive.. no change. I even moved up to a heavier oil to fix the usual 10 bolt whine and it did the job on that.
I am talking about a really quiet hollow clunk and with the windows open you cant hear it.. and I cant drive around all day with the windows open to fix it though
It is similar to an exhaust knock as if it is moving around in the passenger side mount but I checked that too and its all good.
My money is definitely on those axle shafts clonking in and out .. Does anyone else hear this on small bumps in the pavement ???

It's the exhaust hitting the pan hard bar (where it goes up over it). Need a pan hard bar relocation kit, or to tuck the exhaust up more. Very common after lowering.

Nope... not that either. I got the "over axle" bit of the exhaust way up above the axle but not near the heat shields.
So still stumped but thanks for the suggestion, any others out there ???

Take some photos and post them so we can have a better idea. It's nearly impossible to guess at these sort of things without seeing things firsthand. Does it happen all the time? Change with speed? Is everything under there tight? What about the pan hard bar bolt hole becoming oblong?

Check your torque arm and transmission rubber mounts. Worn out they will look normal but under load or when the suspension moves can make them shift and cause that same sound.

Guys,
Thanks for the advice.. I thought about the spare and the antenna.. retightened all that. Also the torque arm is a BMR item and that has a new front bush and I tightened the axle end bolts to 110 ft/lbs.
New BMR LCA's with rubber bushes as opposed to poly ..all really tight to spec. Viking shocks, top mount/bottom tightened to spec. The list goes on! LCA relocation brackets tightened to spec.
PHB is new also and all bolts tightened to spec.
But still I get this niggly little rattle/clunk going over small cracks and bumps but not on bigger things like speed bumps (yes we have them here too !)
I am running a 35 profile tire on a 19" rim so there is less "suspension" softness than with the stock wheel combo due to less sidewall flex and it must give the axle a harder time hence my comment about the axles literally rattling back and forth. I think this is common on the "little" 10 bolt on these cars as is common on all c clip axles. They will physically move in and out a little with the car on stands so could they make a similar noise when the car on the pavement ?? Strange one this is ..
