well you were right on almost everything, same pistons and the LT4 was NOT the king of the LT motors it was the LT5 VERY FEW OF THESE MADE. 500 hp motors came in the real ZL1s but yes the lt4 was the king at it time, i went for the LT4 swap and it was great

I don't want to argue with you but how can you compare the LT4 pushrod motor to a LT5 dual overhead cam motor. You can't. They are two totally different motors, basically all they share is the name LT.

55 fucking dollars, holy shit the front marker are like 25 shipped, for 4 times the amount of plastic. that seems crazy. but it does look clean.

I do like the LS1, but I would do anything, including selling my 98 to have a BLACK 97 "SS" again!

I feel for ya brother.how strange i was looking at a red 98z w/ss appaerance before i bought the '97. the guy wanted to much. He blew the motor last week. DESTINY!

An LT4 and LS1 are different motors.....I have had both and they are both really good motors. The LS1 was adopted because of advancements in the GM engine building department, at the time the LS1 was revolutionary. 9t8z28 basically told you what you need to know. I have never dynoed mine because frankly, I don't care how fast or powerful it is, I have it because of the uniqueness. My 2002 SS was a bad momma though......
