It was TWO days before starting my first job in the auto business. I was jus waking up and my nana walked up stairs and said that air planes crashed into the twin towers. My nana was in her 80s and going through dimensia and would say the most off the wall shit after her strokes. I thought she was just talking nonsense and this being the most ridiculous thing she had said to date. She said turn the tv on. I did and my jaw dropped and i fell over. Watching the footage of it even now, I still cant believe it.

I was sitting in my American History class, and we were actually turning on the tv to put in a video and the screen popped up saying breaking news; and then showed the first tower getting hit.. it got really quiet and we all just set there, when all of a sudden the other plane ran into the other building.

I was on a bus, on the way to a school camp when all of a sudden the driver comes over the speaker telling everyone to be quiet, then he turns up the radio.

I was at work. A guy that works in the back told us and we broke into the director's office (like in Close Encounters) to see it on his TV. I walked later just in time to see the first tower fall. I don't think I'll ever be the same.

im a Little late here but i was at work at a job site in Rockland county NY and as soon as i heard about it and i drove up to a scenic lookout where i could see the NY city skyline and as soon as i got out of the truck , down went one of the towers . i was about 15 miles away with a clear unobstructed line of vision down the Hudson river at the towers . an image i will never forget

Damn dude that's crazy!
I was actually born on Long Island and still have family there, and my cousin worked as a paramedic 2 blocks from the WTC. He switched shifts with a friend to go golfing that day. The guy he switched with perished...He now works as an EMT on the beach in Florida.
I was in 8th grade Western Civ class annoying some girl that sat in front of me when I found out. Crazy shit!

We were in class and the principal called over the intercom for teachers to check our e-mail immediately. Then we turned on the TVs and internet...very sad day.

Was working at my old job. Think I was working on the shop's plow truck when Something was said on Stern. Went over to the gas station side for a few minutes a bit later on my lunch break and watched some of the footage. Truly the one of the saddest days in my life

On my UPS truck. 1st stop pull up and customer runs out and says that Howard Stern just said that a plane hit the WTC. WTF? 20-30 mins later on my 5th-6th stop at MAB guy tells me the other tower was hit and as he is finishing his sentence someone walked in saying the Pentagon was hit. I said Bullshit and got the "We're not kidding look" from all of them. It was sureal, going from stop to stop and hearing new info, some BS and most real, and then doing residential stops and going into customers homes to catch bits and pieces on the TV. All the while my UPS bosses and their big hearts telling us to get to our businesses and make our pickups before they close and go home, we cant lose those pickup pieces. me
