True, by the time you're done, your car will have like 500hp, but everything mechanically will be built to hold 1500hp

Dude, that motor can stay together for a long time. Forged rods and pistons with ARP bolts is fine. The stock crank is a very stout piece. And to actually blow a block you will need some extreme force/pressure. That set-up will be fine.

    Awesome car, any video?

I don't really have any vids. He took two short clips with his digicam and the sound is farged up. I'll load 'em and see how they turn out on Photobucket.

I have never heard of one single person blowing more good engines than you.

Maybe you by some grace of god got a poorly made crank or a bad batch of steel. But what about the other 3 or 4 engines?? By now you could/should have a 408 iron block with a full Lunati Lower rotating assembly. WITH PRO MOD BILLET rods. Crazy shit.

From what I've read spaz, thats a very rare account. I truly think that was just a matter of your particular crank jus having a defect. I have books about the ls motors and the rods and pistons might have problems once extra power is added but that crank can take at least 600+. One of the strongest cast cranks made.
