If she asked just to see what you'd say (dreaming) or if she was demanding it (even if she asked nicely it still could have been a demand in disguise). I'm sure my wife would like to not have to work too. I'm sure most of us guys would like to find a lady whose butt would never droop, whose breasts would never sag, and who had millions in the bank and was willing to share, but that isn't the way life is.

Just because a person feels a certain way does not mean they are not good woth how things are. Just because your lady wants someone who can bring home bacon for a family doesn't address the issue of where that quality is on her priority list.

I would not worry about it but I would investigate a bit further in a disarming and casual manner.

are you kidding... unless you have a reciept for every damn thing you have bought they don't mean shit these days... i have a few friends who lost just about every thing even though they had thier wife (who had nothing at all at the time) sign a prenupt... they even lost the apeal...

+1 - and agree with your other post too - ask her to get a job and be the bread winning so you can sit your ass at home and not work and/or take care of the kids (the kids that you might have someday)

Sounds to me like you aren't the old fashioned breadwinner kind of guy that treats his woman like a household appliance! In this day and age women are making more $$$ than ever before, there is no reason she couldn't launch her own successful career with her education. Especially with the kind of environment she grew up in! I'd say it's still possible to save the relationship and have a bright future if you and her mother talk some sense into her. Let her know what kind of lifestyle you want. That if both of you work then you guys could finance nearly any dream you have, etc.

A friend of mine went to college specifically to meet an ambitious, hard working guy that she could marry and mooch off of. The problem is that she's not exactly hot enough to pull that off.

Her mother doesn't work, her husband owns a small successful business, and mom spends the money like it's her job. Turned out over nearly 2 decades that dad was having an affair and after it all came out, his wife decided to stay married and live with him because she has no skills, no work history outside of child rearing, and nowhere to go.

I want to feel bad for her because a married couple should remain faithful to eachother. But when shit hits the fan, you need an exit strategy. Now after a year or so of this, she disrespects herself daily by living with him in his house. Yes, he is still with his mistress as well!

Sorry, off track... If the girl doesn't share your vision of what your future together should be like then don't waste your time or hers.
