I found $226 underneath the spare tire in an '84 Z28 we bought in '86. It had been wet, dried out, molded, etc..... and in a car that was only 2 yrs old at the time, I always figured that somebody lost it out of a shirt pocket when it rolled down the assembly line new!

That reminds me of 2 assembly line goofs I've spotted recently. I worked on a '06 Cad DTS that had Lucerne/Impala brakes on the RF and the larger DTS brakes on the LF. I had to switch over the caliper and bracket, pads, dust shield, and rotor to fix it.
Second one was on a 06 HUMMER H3. We pulled the Spare tire off the tailgate to access the rear wiper arm and found one of those post it tag that reads "QUALITY" and was pointing to a spot (size of a dime) that had no paint on it just primer. Apparently they missed it at the factory and slapped the spare tire on. It was pretty funny to find.

i found some sugar packets under the drivers seat. The dealership i bought it from did a great job detailing it though. Now since ive owned it Ive found countless amounts of change under the passenger seat. People are paying me to ride in my car and dont even know it They should be anyway though.

When I tore apart the interior in my 72 Chevelle i found 3 little twist baggies of white crystaly powder. I have no idea what it was. I just threw it away. Same car I found a pretty old gun. Still have it. There was also a speeding ticket from Mexico inside the dash.
