I just never ever go more than 10 over where theres likely to be cops........other place I go faster. Now my bike is a diff. story, I cruise 70-100mph.
Get the 9500i, I had the 8500 and loved it. v1 is overpriced for just a couple silly arrows.

I had to get a V1 when I was stationed in MO. After being there 18 months, I was bored so I think I got 5 speeding tickets in that time frame. Then I listened to my roomate who actually has a 2001 Z28 and I am shocked that he didn't say anything about the V1, but After the 5 I bought it and I have not had a ticket since 2004 (when it was on), and I love that thing, it catches a signal when I am like around a turn or going up a hill and the po po is on the other side waiting, it warns 360 degrees and it tells you what kind of band it is, how many sources there are and it even has a mute button for the annoying beeps. I recomment it if you have already tried the cheap brands. Its costly though but think of the ticket money that you won't be spending which can go to your car!! I just read this over to make sure I didn't leave anything out and I sound like a sales person from V1. Deisel Mechanic for DOD.

V1?!
I will soon be in the Police, well the Academy perhaps in August and graduate in Feb, so yes I will keep that in mind, I think I would sell if for $100 less than the website does cause I have had it since 2004 and I checked for updates for it and for $100 more you can send it to V1 and have them install the update, but mine works great, you can also hardwire it into your car so that you don't have to plug and unplug all the time, just turn on your car and go.
Just don't wire it to an "always hot" wire, that will drain the batteries like crazy

I will stick with my Beltronics vector 965 and my RX65.
both work great and detech even through poor or blocked line of sight.

yea I have not had that happen to me yet simply cause the radar detector catches the radar before the cop catches me. but now saying this has jinxed me. I usually drive 5-10 above anyway so not too fast. Thanks for that warning though

Here's where to go to find the best reviews:
www.guysoflidar.com
They are releasing a new test in the next month so be patient because there are some new fantastic products coming out. Basically, the best RDs are the V1, Escort 9500 and the Beltronics STi Driver (undetectable).
But the ultimate all-inclusive defense system is the new Escort 9500ci with the Z4 laser jammer. Laser detectors are useless, you must have a jammer to be protected. Other jammers are the Laser Pro Park (among the best) and the Cheetah PASS system.
Go to the site and read up. Yes, the V1 is good, and all Cobras are garbage.
