the evos are really uncomfortable commuters and not fun for daily traffic driving, but it is the most fun car i've ever driven when it gets twisty. monster brakes, super hard suspension, ridiculously twitchy steering, gears are too short, no play in the gas pedal. i love my goat, but if i had had the extra $4000 at the time i still would've chose the evo, the 4 doors is really convienient with my kids and it'll get better resale 5 years down the road. IMO i don't like the rx8 or 350z's i see way too many of both of them. i like having a car that i don't see 5 - 10 of them every day.

I agree with hit!! I looked into a both the 350z and the rx-8 but I realized I NEVER see Goat's running around(no pun intended) on my commute. Like I said, love my Goat already and wouldn't trade it for anything except maybe a 6.0L.

I highly recomend a GTO, but not that one for that price.
I'm asking the same price for mine with half that many miles, and none of the flaws you mention (except the shifting into reverse).

The things you mention are indications of abuse/neglect. You say that you think the front wheel is bent. My response to that is how did the wheel get bent? Has it been bent for long? Has that affected other parts of the front end? IMO a bent wheel is a serious issue, and any bending of wheels I've seen has involved things like hitting curbs, boulders, other cars, etc.
Then again, a shaking steering wheel can simply be an alignment issue.

Take your time and look around, you can find a better car for that amount of money.

Well I ended up getting an Evo X. I've just been getting used to the stick and the ridiculous handling. I think I made a good choice

Sorry you made that choice. A LS2 Goat (13.20's on radials.......) is a whole another world than that Evo(13.80's hooking).
No point in continuing this with your choice that has already been made.
Don't be afraid of the bottle!!! Be afraid of your tune!!!
