Credit unions give you a 7 day grace period before they hit you with late fees

I go through a credit union and mine's 10 days...not every company has the same rules.

I got a loan for my car through a credit union(metro 1) and i havent made my payment this month which was due on the 9th. i am kinda hard on money right now and i just got a job and wont be able to make the payment until this friday. is there a possibility that my car might get repoed by that time? this is the first time i have been late on a payment.

i fell behind on my car like 2 months and they finnally threated so i called them and told them when id make the payment and they were good about it

i know my credit union has offered several times (it's usualy in with the statement) to allow me to skip a payment. They dress it up like they are giving you extra money or something, but they are still charging the interest, just letting role to the following month without penalty or anything. Could be an option for you to look into if things are getting a little short. let's you skip the payment without hitting your credit.
