So what is it that goes bad on the unit? That sucks that you’re crashed twice... I hope that doesn’t happen to me. They told me it good for 3 years, now it that 3 years from when I first got the unit or 3 years after the repair?

2 red lights = shutdown due to heat
3 red lights = hardware failure.
4 red lights = something not connected (generally the AV connection)

I had a problem with 2 red lights (overheat) and cracked open my box to find that the heat sinks were plugged with dust.

Aww. thanks, I had 3 red lights. I figured somthing was wrong the last few weeks because I kept hearing something coming lose and the louder it got, I knew it was going to freeze up any second. Well I at least its going to get fixed and I won't lose any of my data

Well I just got the return box today (10 days later).. I'll drop it off at UPS tomorrow. Lets see how long it takes to come back "fixed"

Buy a new unit, replace the Hard Drive and other accesories with the new unit and then Return in for a refund.

no you won't, the serial number is on the hard drive. Also pay cash. Then wyn you return it say someone alredy bought you one and you done need that one anymore

UPDATE: okay now 17 days since my 360 crashed, they have recieved my returned unit. Lets see how much long takes to send it back. NOW TAKING BETS

I got mine back in about 2 weeks after I sent off in their box they gave me.

Thats sounds about right, everyone is tell me is takes about a month from start to finsh. I went and got a PS3 to hold me over...Uncharted is a cool game by the way.

What a rip-off. Why would someone pay for that when Microsoft (The first-party producer) will fix it in the same amount of time for free, anytime during the next 2 years?
