what realm are you guys on? i'm on that quel'somthing one...

i got to learn how to pvp good... can you x-fer chars to a pvp realm?

A PVP realm just means that horde players(if you are alliance) can attack you anywhere in the world no matter what except for starting areas and cities. Normal realms you can only attack players of the opposite faction in the world if you are "flagged" for pvp (by right clicking your character portrait, and setting PVP to "Enabled")

But other than that, all realms (Normal, PVP, RP, RPPVP) have the same pvp things, like duels, Battlegrounds, Arenas, and world PVP objectives (in Outland).

what if you have PVP enabled? is that the same thing?

Basically. If every one on a normal server enabled pvp for their character, it would be the same as a PVP realm. Keep in mind though if you're flagged and run into a higher level horde player, you'll probably be ganked.

I play on a normal server because I enjoy leveling up and questing without the annoyance of being killed randomly by a passing player.

You can transfer from a PVP or RP-PVP realm to a Normal or RP realm, but not the other way around. It's much easier to level on a non-PVP server (of course).

I'm on a normal server as well since I don't care much for world pvp either. All they gotta do is attack a guard or flagged buddy and I'll fry 'em.
