Are police ever "off duty??"
Do they ignore crimes because they're not on the clock??
Are they psychic??
Considering most law abiding people drive well within the limits, do you think it's possible that a cop's first thoughts might be that they have a major crime unfolding??
Aren't you glad you don't have to put up with the shit the police do???

that's all true but to pull a gun on someone when they were accelerating off of stop lights only to stop at the next stop light with one other car on the road that happened to be that officers son. the officer definitely could have handled the situation in a more appropriate manner. would he have done the same thing if he was in uniform in his squad car? i don't think so.

Theres policy about that (atleast here, dont know about up there)but...the deputy shouldnt have drawn his gun, a simple flash of the badge would have done it, if he didnt have his badge he could indentified himself and called for a marked unit if he wanted to do something, but his actions could of lead to the driver pull out his own gun(if he carried one,) becuz he was in fear of his life and didnt know the Person with a gun was a cop.

Ok the cop knew there was not a crime unfolding because he was following me and the volvo for over 15 blocks and saw us playing a little. The last light we both really jumped on it. this is when he may have notioned to the volvo that he was a cop, the volvo flashed his lights at me to warn me, then the cop came and confronted me. The cop was in full uniform! Thats how i knew he was a cop. I saw the gun because he was holding it at his side when he walked infront of his headlights which are right near where his arm would be at his side. At this point i turned to look as he yelled shut it off, i then saw he was a cop and at that point he was holstering the weapon. He approached my vehicle and did as i explained earlier. I did not see his name, or see what dept. he was from. How do you guys expect me to report him. All i know is that he was in a TrailBlazer.

well....then he kinda cant get in trouble for it. It's just a precaution, and he could say that he suspected something. But the only problem I see here is that he was a dick....the usual.

Honestly i could have done a burnout in his face if i wanted to. Then if he did get a marked unit on me i could have just said he is in a civilian vehicle he drew his weapon and he never said police, the first thing he said was shut it off. But who knows if i did a burnout i might have a cap in my head right now...

You should have told him that he's a loose cannon and that he's off the force. That would have gone over well.
"You're a loose cannon! You're OFF THE FORCE!
Psych. Ha ha. Just kidding dude. You should have seen your face!"

Yea i figured they will be on the prowl for me. It's cool tho, like i said i have decided to do my racing in more appropriate areas.
I feel that if i did a burnout in his face and then called the police immediately and said some dude in a TB got out of his car with a gun and told me to shut my car off, then i would have that on my side, if he chases me then i will just wait for a marked unit.
