you wanna feel slow, come down to st. louis and i will show you slow.

although i beat a corvette yesterday

To Jesus Fan, Speed Addict, RRGray,

get headers and a catback exhaust, and get an airbox lid. i think you wouldnt have much of a problem with most cars. good luck man!

and forget nitrous for now. you really dont need it, minor things will yield major results for your car.

Damn you don't even have a lid I'd say do the free mods, lid, headers, catback, stall and a tune...the stall alone will turn her into a diff animal.

ummm... get a tranny cooler and shift kit too and you'll be fine.
a stall heats up ur tranny so the cooler is 100% necessary (i jus tbought one for $25, so dont worry about extra money spending)
also, the shift kit will improve the life of ur tranny and will make ur car shift harder like u had a manual.

therefore, with a stall and shift kit, u have both benefits of a manual: better launch and harder shifting. my shift kit cost me $30. i havent installed it yet cuz it looks like its gonna be a pain in the ass, but i will sometime this week.

so yea if ur not looking for HP numbers, but looking to make ur car faster for cheap, do the tranny mods. stall, shift kit, and cooler and you'll bet set for a bit. plus like i said, the shift kit and tranny cooler will make ur tranny safer than it was before
i may have overexplained... i do that (idk HOW much you know, so dont get offended if it seemed like i was dumbing it down)

I imagine the 460rwhp that's running through it is probably worse. I tend to keep the from nailing it often. I've never down a stalled launch at the track either.

I've got a tranny cooler, not really interested in a shift kit either.

All that said, I'll probably into getting a built tranny in the next few years if I start to put down more power.

why not interested in the shift kit? $30 can get u a basic one to improve shifts and make ur tranny last longer

google shift kit. every thing ive EVER read about them is that they improve tranny life. they emphasize how much longer they make ur tranny make, more than they emphasize the performance benefits. (which ive seen a .1 gain at a 1/4 track)

With the tune on a 4l60e you can just increase the line pressure...it'll firm up the shifts a good amount. A shift kit isn't quite as easy as that..

    I must agree.
