There is a tsb for your roof, it can be fixed for free. I had the same problem on my 99 TA.

How do I get this "tsb" and how do I get a dealer to fix it? I have taken this to Holiday Chevrolet and they gave me the run around, of course I will not buy by next chevy from them!
As for the car....................Taking offers?
