    Then don't do their warranty work. That is why we don't do Panasonic, they do not pay us well for warranty work.
    I like Samasung, easy to work on for the most part. The last Panasonic I worked it was the LC12. Hated it!!!!!!

    Interesting... I am currently in the market for a HDTV. Was really leaning toward a dlp, mitsubishi. But I am going to get the toshiba 52" lcd. Do not want plasma as I have door walls, windows and the reflection would bother the hell outta me. That is the problem with the new samsung lcds. They did something with the screen to make the blacks darker and it reflects almost as bad as a plasma.

    I can get the dlp cheaper, the plasma cheaper. But I like the pic of the toshiba lcd. Thats just me... I finally have the price down to 2400 for the 52" toshiba lcd, so I guess I will pick it up this week...

    I really do not know which is the best tech, I am just going by what I think I will like...

    btw for all of those who are wondering the difference in the i and p like 1080i vs 1080p

    i = interlaced
    p= progressive scan
    the "burn" fear is what keeps me away from plasma. we have an LCD tv but it's a pile of crap. the sound doesn't match the movement on the screen. worst purchase my mother has made but worstbuy REFUSED to refund her her money even though she had had 3 televisions go bad in 5 months so they set her up with this current pile of crap for $100 MORE than what she paid for the other one that had no issues with visual/sound. anyway getting off topic.

    what's the difference and advantage/disadvantage of the interlaced vs the progressive scan?

    i guess i'm an LCD kinda guy mostly because i know little to nothing about the other technologies out there. one thing i've noticed about our LCD computer screen is that it appears to have "bled" some of it's coloration ability after being exposed to sunlight from a nearby window. anyone heard of anything like this?

    basically, for home use lcd is the best alternative at the moment. plasma definitely has that burn in problem, and they don't live as long.
    as for lcd: buy major brands, they are better, and don't buy the most expensive stuff (a.k.a. the latest shit), because in one or two years their technology outlived itself again...
