am I paying too much

I live in Ohio and just seen a 98 WS6 Auto on a lot for $13k and I believe it had like 30,000 on it. Color was Black, and I think a one owner car.

hmm everyone seems to think its overpriced...well we had a mechanic look everything over and the noise from the rear is a pinion seal and he said it would be 120 to fix that and then needs alignment and soon new brake pads. Last two arent a big deal but Im not exactly sure about the first one...anyone know anything about that. We decided on 9800 and the car is worth that much to me and ive decided not to second guess myself or anything and after driving it I know im going to enjoy it

I was reading up on the leaking pinion seal and apparently this is very very common...so does this mean that the noise I am hearing is something else besides the pinon seal like the mechanic said??
