Oh, yeah OSU has already won. They caught the break they needed to win by playing Florida for the Championship. Only team that could give OSU a run was U of M, and OSU is lucky they aren't playing them a 2nd time...

Black- 97 Formula
I don't know why the 1-A teams can't do a playoff, the 1-AA teams do.

A playoff system would be absurd. Look at it now every single game matters, with a playoff system that michigan OSU game would not have been nearly as exciting as it was because they would just do it again in the playoffs. I like the system now because if you lose one game your chances of going to the championship are about shot, look at michigan.

Go SEC, Michigan had there chance and blew it. Both teams lost to top ten teams so it how it works out. Even Michigan said they didn't want a rematch, So take it as you may the BCS does suck and we need playoffs but no one listens to us. Ohio is still going to win so who cares.

Check this...
If Flordia blows OSU out and Michigan blows USC out the AP polls have the power to vote a split title between UM and Flordia. The reason is because the computer's already have Flordia and UM tied in points and I think there are more voters in the AP's than the Harris. I'm hoping that OSU wins, but I think Flordia is going to come to play just like we did in 2002. Either way it's going to be a great game. BUCKS-42 gators-24

That was before the game. (Ohio vs Mich) By both coaches. I am sure Tressel
would NOT like a rematch But Carr and his team would and that's all you read about or see on TV here in MICHIGAN . Rose bowl or the national championship game. I think they would rather be playing for the championship.Last edited by skar; 12-05-2006 at 12:43 PM.

Seeding wouldn't mean shit because there won't be home field advantages. The playoffs would be played at "Bowl" facilities.
So, no, every game would NOT matter. Take OU, they lost two games and have no chance to play for the title because they lost two games. In a playoff system, they would still have made it to the playoffs and have a chance to play for the title. So those two loses by OU then don't matter really.

That's the beauty of a tourney. One loss should not define your season. Even two losses shouldn't. Also, they shouldn't play at "bowl" facilities. At least the first round should be played at the higher seeds field.
Having a tourney with 16 teams or maybe more would also give the mid-majors a chance to make a name for themselves. Yes, the likelyhood that a mid-major wins a couple games in the tourney is very small. I just think a tourney makes the game a little more exciting.

Why don't they deserve it??
They are the second best team in the country.
Just asking, but how did Ali-Frazier II and III work out? Or that Georgetown-Villanova Final Four?
I know Florida's Urban Meyer doesn't want to see a rematch, but he's not exactly an impartial observer, is he? And if Meyer were in Carr's Nikes, I guarantee you his objections to a second Ohio State-Michigan game would have disappeared.
A rematch, this time on a neutral field, would have been a game for the ages. And if you threatened to take away his precious sweater-vest if he didn't tell the truth, I bet you Buckeyes coach Jim Tressel would rather play Florida than have to face the Wolverines again (Tressel declined to vote in the final coaches' poll).
