Thank you. There was some fine tuning involved with a torch and some drop brackets. I will update with a video soon

You could put a set of turbos coming direct off the manifold and have almost zero lag.
Also, have any plans to tub out the rear wheel wells for wider tires?

Yea I'm going to pull the front fenders and rear quarters. No turbos but I may upgrade to a ls3. I hope to do a all metal wide fender

Are you a fabricator by trade or is this a hobby?

A bit of both. I was previously a frame technician at a auto body . I did custom work on the side. I went a different career path and now it's a hobby

If you don't mind me asking but how much is that Porsche transaxle? You are the 2nd car that has used it for their ls build. I'm curious in the cost comparison between them and our transmissions.

1200 average. The Porsche g50 is 4000 but much stronger.

Are you going to be able to have AC? Or you're not bothering with it?

I'm not going to bother with it at this point. I probably need to save space and weight. I may run out of room up front too due to having to run a much larger radiator. I also plan to make the air flow through the radiator and out the top of the hood. The stock setup pushes air under the car

I like the MR2 on the firewall. Very nice touch.

Here's another option on your alternator. It relocates it to the passenger side cyl head. I've been using it for a couple of yrs now. I got tired of replacing them because of a 60 cent o ring failing on the PS pump and leaking on it. It's kinda the same idea as what you made just in a different location.

thank you!! i thought of that alternator option. i worry about clearance on the top side. the firewall tapers backward to help me fit. the most space is down the bottom. i hope it works.

I was hoping there would be an update on this.
Glad to see you're making progress.
