it's more like wishful thinking....I won't say where I read it but they claim to be Saint fans....
I can't see Saints ever letting him go, only when he retires in that case. He's the life blood of the fans/ppl for NOLA. Kinda like Joe Montana for 49's

I bet he won't retire with the saints. I think they'll be done with him before he's done playing. The problem with a Brees trade right now is he carries $33M in dead cap. Doesn't make financial sense to trade him. Jimmy we only took a $2M hit this year but save $27M the next 2 years. That's when you'll see us make some moves in free agency....next year and the year after. I'm guessing Jimmy was approached about a restructure and he said "no" so the saints did what they had to do.

people are over reacting and buying into rumors since the Jimmy deal. I personally wouldn't be that upset about getting the 1st pick in the draft in trade for a QB that has 2-3 more years left but I just see no way that's even close to happening.

Yep and if Jerry Jones thinks he's getting Adrian Peterson he is wrong...very wrong. Multiple rules were broken last year when AP and JJ talked on the phone and Jerry wouldnt shut up about how much he wanted him to come and play at Dallas...
Don’t expect Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson to give Dallas Cowboys a home-state discount | Dallas Morning News
With all of that said, Dunbar had some really good averages last year but he didnt have a ton of attempts so it could all be BS but they might have the next starting RB in Dallas already...

Saints signed Browner today....that's a solid signing.

Even if the Cowboys get Peterson, that's a downgrade from Murray. Couldn't they have afforded to keep him?
By the way, the Redskins easily could have kept Helu and let him to go to the Raiders. He's one of the best backup RBs in the NFL, and I think that will hurt.

AP won't sign with Dallas....if he does the Vikings will sue because they're whiney little bitches that love to blame their mediocrity on everyone else.

As a Cowboy fan I'm on the fence with AP. Too many times high dollar/high caliber players come in and end up either sitting on a bench for injuries or because they no longer play hungry.
Also common sense doesn't come into play with Jerry Jones. Seems his son makes better choices when it comes to players then JJ does.

What I find strange is that Jerry could only pay Murray X amount of dollars but he thinks he can take on the money it'll take to pull AP out of Minnesota and then put a contract together on top of that.
I know what he's trying to do and it makes sense...keep Dez via franchise tag to minimize the amount of money you have to put up this year and bring in AP and make a run for the Superbowl and hope it works out. Basically betting everything on one season because after this year he wont be able to keep them both...it just isn't possible unless he figures out a way to get out from under Romo's contract. He can probably keep 2 of them, but not all 3.

I think they did very well with last yrs formula, small tweak here & there and they should have been fine. Why scrap the whole plan?
