Yes they did. That is 100% accurate...even the Z28 with no blower started having heat issues on the track...seems like an overall problem at GM.

Seems to be the trend with heat issues. They have already had to add a second transmission cooler to the a8 cars. Not sure if they did in time for the initial run of 2015 Z06 cars. Seen several conflicting statements on that.

Most GM cars seem to benefit greatly from a tune regarding timing being pulled. And if necessary I'm sure the aftermarket will take care of any charge-cooling issues.

It's the tune. Very conservative from GM:

I would still like to see the same 2 cars run again, BUT with the Z06 not carrying a passenger and the Z06 having the driver mod.

That race is as non-bias as they come. The driver of the Z06 also owns a Viper, and the Viper driver is NineBall, who as some of you may know has been involved in the LS community longer than some of us. In addition to owning many LS cars, he started LS1Tech, etc. Apparently he's one helluva driver and wasn't out to make anyone look bad.

Cancelled my order this morning...at least for this model year. Reports are starting to surface about power surge during throttle lift. I want to let the car "hit the streets" for awhile before buying. I told the sales manager to reach out later on next year when he starts taking orders for 2016s.

I think that was a wise choice...first year models always have bugs and random issues that can be a pain in the ass...
